It does seem kind of sparse, but supposedly there is some kind of "Big Project" coming out sometime? So I'm not sure there is even a point to advertising until then.
I think the main thing is that Evilzone needs to figure out what it's goals are. It seems like we are in an awkward "Half Professiona/Half Underground Hackers" paradigm.
Obviously its a hard choice to make, when I first joined this place was booming, and there were many very smart people around - there still is, but there are less. Anything was allowed, which gave a very cool underground feeling, warez, sql db dumps, a bunch of skiddy tools and content, but at the same time there was 10x more content around. There we're a lot of bad things with this however, tons of skiddies, a lot of flak from hacking other big communities (anyone remember that bike community fiasco?), a lot of warez posts were untrust worthy, thinking back, it was pretty dangerous behavior.
Now on the other hand being more professional gives us better quality, but content and users are much more sparse, and there are still a lot of skiddies, just less than before.
It's hard for me to decide which is better though. This is what I do know however:
1. EZ is best as a "back-alley mecca" of Hacking and Security
2. With a name like "Evilzone", we will never truely be a "Professional" website, I think just pushing for Quality would be better
3. Defacements are a bad idea, and will only cause us problems
4. We need more content, and to get this, we need better incentives for our users to make content
5. If we produce good content people will come naturally
TL;DR: We should promote more, but only after this big project or some restructuring.
