1- Add a thanks button.
2- There should be different forum skins.
3- Add a supforum in OS forum for Linux.

For second one ,may be i didn't explain myself properly . What am saying is that we have different skins ,let's say this one (the one you like) and another one so other members can choose their appropriate skin . I find this skin very annoying  :'( a white skin or red skin would be a great idea .

This skin is appropriate for this place. Fancy green-on-black or some glowing red would look skiddish and that is NOT what we want to attract.
We are trying to be professional here in every way possible. Having an option to select different skins would be too much work and I think it is not worth it.
Thanks button is also not needed, we have Karma option for that - it works almost the same as Thanks.
I'll see what I can do with the Linux subsection. We do not create sections if it will be empty for most of the time (1 post every month or so).

Sorry for not reading this earlier, I haen't had much time lately.

A thanks button is not a bad suggestion, but as Kulverstukas said. We do got a karma function. Tho, ill add the idea to some sort of think-about or to-do list ;)

Some wont like this skin, some will like it. Thats how it is with all skins and layouts. For the time being, we will keep this one.

Not sure if a subforum for linux is needed, but it might be something we want to discuss further. Maybe in its own topic.

Thank you.

I agree. But as proven by the lack of content, people and activity back then. Nobody wants such a community. You have to deliver what the masses want, if the masses is what you want on your system. I am not saying we are a attention whore community, only interested in having lots of users. But you have to have users to have activity. And activity, for me at least. Is what's important. That, and quality.

That makes phrases as "We are trying to be professional here in every way possible." sound very funny.

So, your conclusion is that noone likes professionals, so you set a lower quality and moral standard. Interesting.

Even tho we might have lowered the requirements to enjoy this community. We are still trying to be professional at the level we are now.
Professionality and looks/standards is not necessarily the same. Everyone wants Professionality(I guess), but not everyone would feel comfortable posting and commenting in such a community. Because the requirements is so high.

The quality and moral standards we had on the white board was overkill and unrealistic. We cannot except people to talk in a 100% ethical and moral way when dealing with the topic at hand. It is up to the visitors here on how to use the information given. Even the "Vulnerable websites" board we have now can be used for good and bad.
