Do not cry. There is no crying in Computer Science!
I too have failed some stuff. didn't start college and I don't know if I ever will.
What I was thinking to just wait until colleges start accepting and see if I can get in. If not then fuck them, I'll try to get some job, get my life together and do what I was doing before - learning by myself.
Degree is often not the factor when getting a proper job (so they say...), it's the experience.

If you are love electronics and game programming, then try to get a scholarship. I'm sure you can come up with something to impress the faculty. Right?

I will have to agree on this one.. You should have been "into it" the first time over.

Experience is important but you will find yourself underqualified and uncertified to do a lot of jobs if you come with nothing but your experience. A fine balance between connections, experience and a degree would be perfect.

Maybe you can get a part-time job or even a full-time and go to community college, or go somewhere part-time. Are your parents letting you at least stay at home, or are they kicking you out? Like the people above said, you put yourself in this situation, so working hard is the only way to get yourself out. Might even prove to your parents to give you another shot.

I'd like to confirm this. If you even get an associates degree, know some people, and can prove that you know how to do [insert career field here], you are almost guaranteed success....unless of course, you're a liar, or a dickhead.

I don't think there would be anything wrong with crying in a situation like this. At least to get it out of your system, then buckle down and find another way. I've heard that the certifications (depending on what ones you get) can get you pretty far.

The certs that matter like Security+ or CCNA's is what employers are after. And they do require money to even take the test. Some employers will pay for the certs as long as you pass.

Pretty much every computer related job wants a min of A+ cert, so start there?

BTW, glad to see you posting again fable.

Touch situation, Yep you could find some work that does not required certification from the university but it would not be well-paid job even on the IT field. Just don't give up, some great people change the world without certification too.
The most difficult thing human will ever face is the decision. Not because we don't know what that decision will bring. It is the responsible that we have to take for the result of that decision we make.

congratulations... it will be better if you study business.. and its not that necessary to study business, unless you are studying in a very good business school... I mean for small business it is better to just join the work and learn by trial and error under supervision. As long as you play carefully it will only grow and in worse case remain as it is.. still it will pay for your bills.
Doing robotics needs constant hard work and a big team and a company with the $$. I mean at least here the companies require a very good degree to accept someone at something worthwhile.. else you are just some coder or something.

You might just come to like what you do...

stupidly enough.. I will have a CSE degree in some 10 months... and I feel stupid for ever taking science..
