RFID

Does anyone know what it would take to make a small (palm size) device that can capture and reproduce and RFID signal? Thinking about taking up a new project, now that I'm getting better at coding.

First of all, I think this is the wrong section. This should be in the Science section.

Second, check this out

Thanks for the link, and I would have, but I thought this was more of a security tool as to the replicating the code part, ie. bypassing doors and such.
Also, a "bump pass" would work for that 5cm range, but could you boost the signal to say, 6inches?

Though at 5-10 cm, that thing is massive.
