I'm being raised as a Christian, so I know most things they think/do. A lot of christians believe that the world is made in 7 days, but there are a lot of them who also believe otherwise. The bible was written in a time where people saw the number 7 as a special number; it represented greatness/fullness. Therefore, 7 days could also be a gazillion years, rather than really 7 times 24 hours. So evolution still _is_ possible in christianity. (it's made up in the last few years; bah religious leaders always know how to fit it into their 'truths')

Satan911:
You say you base your knowledge on the current scientific evidences? I thought there wasn't any proof for evolution (ie. life-forms which are in the middle of evolution or even fossils.)

who knows maybe something really happened? but the bible and the stories about jesus were all written a couple of 100 years after jesus died.
Nobody mentioned him in any books or anything between his death and the bible..
(and they took out some stories over the years to make it sound more belivable)

And this thing with jesus. Well there have been TONS of other important religious guys that did exactly the same, save everyone, die on the cross, rise again 3 days later

so even if there is a God or something, then he have NOTHING to do with the bible. its all made up and edited over the years

There can't be a settlement this short way into a debate. However I do agree with what you are saying, but I just don't believe there is a god. I think the "prophets" just dropped a little too much acid. I have been to churches and see them go crazy and "speak in tongue" which is just gibberish. I would really like to know what is going through those peoples heads. I don't know I just don't get it. Religion just seems to be an excuse for violence. Thing about it, the Spanish Inquisition, even the story about Jesus, and being crucified, etc. The church has a violent past. Then there are the terrorists (well at least for America) how people like Al Queda who follow the Qur'an and use it as a justification for the violence they bring on "so called innocent" people, although America is far from innocent. Well that's all I can think of for now, maybe there will be some more debate :P
Try to imagine life without time. You probably can't. You worry about time, get driven by time. However look all around you, a bird does not worry if he will be late for a meeting, a deer does not fret over passing birthdays. Only man tracks time. This makes man the only creature to fear running out of time.

its all about death, humans are the only ones that believes in god, and we are also the only ones that think about death.
People are afraid of what they dont know and we know nothing about what happens when we die. so religion tries to make the stuff we dont know less scary or something lol :D

The point of faith is to give people enthusiasm on life.(Religion Faith), and all that we have to know is that Human Mind is the most important part of our world we'r living. Dont forget about the last one  :D

http://www.squidoo.com/noahsarkfound

If you are looking for something hard enough you will find it in everything.
the bible is just the same as psychics, they tell you something and you will think about that until you find something that fits the description.

sidenote:
Thats one of the biggest problems with the bible, if something dont fit they just say "we just interprited it in another way" then just remold the words so it fits the 'evidence'

Someone posted this on Reddit today. Of course many Christian will read the title and say without reading any of the text it's bullshit, but if you are a bit more curious than that read the whole thing and tell me what you think.
