General discussion / Firefox and Chrome banned on Windows 8?
« on: May 15, 2012, 11:10:56 am »
I just read this:

I don't know if this will be a real problem in the future for windows 8 users, but I don't think it will.

Because first, I don't see how it would be possible to just not allow a program in an operating system like Windows. A substitute for said program would just appear or something.

Second, this is just stupid and unthinkable!

So what do you think about this?

This looks interesting, even if not very useful.

Tutorials / Something I wrote about documentation.
« on: February 16, 2012, 12:15:06 am »
Hello. I wrote this article about the importance of documentation and how one should use it to actually be productive. It's only the second article I ever wrote. Please give me your opinion and I hope you enjoy.

(Fact: I am aware the article may be a little extensive.)

C - C++ / Article about Segmentation Fault
« on: January 28, 2012, 02:00:53 am »
So I wrote this article talking about Segmentation Fault. A common bug. I didn't go into must details regarding computer architecture and virtual memory because this article is aimed at people who don't know about these things in the first place.

Take a look at this:

Interesting, is it not?

This Arab countries vs Israel situation as been taking so long and is getting so must worst. All this hate between these people has lead to many deaths and destruction.

But looking at it solely from the Cyber war point of view, there have been many attacks to websites and such. How dangerous can this get? Maybe people on bought sides will start attacking the bank accounts of important persons, I don't know. The Stuxnet worm may be a prime example of how far this war is going.

What are your opinions on this?

He is to be replace by Tim Cook. The reason for him to resign is due to medical reasons. I read in another news site, not an English one, that Samsung shares went up after this news.

How do you think this will affect the mobile devices market and Apple it self, especially now that we were going to see the new IPhone 5 in October?

Personally I don't think that Apple will have a great fall in sales or anything, but many people usually say that if Steve Jobs is no longer making those presentations of new products and services the company will see it's clients go to Android and Windows Devices.

Projects and Discussion / General knowledge base
« on: July 16, 2011, 04:58:19 pm »

I thought about creating a general knowledge base. A website with a database that would function with a system of tags. This database could have information about sites of interest about security and anti-security, news or just tutorials. Something else for the database would be articles about terms we usually use like DDoS attack, RFI, (among other of course). Also articles on tools like LOIC and tor, or programming languages, etc.

The reason to build this is to have all the information in a single place and with the system of tags I mention. This sistem would allow an easy searches in the database and save alot of time because we wouldn't have information spreeded across bookmarks, txt files and our own memory.

What do you think?
